The sun was shining on Clapham Common and following months of planning and preparation (although we can’t really claim that we ordered the weather!) we were ready to take to the bandstand and shout about the product that had taken over a year to develop.
We couldn’t quite believe that we were unleashing the best kept secret to the world but with the help of Louis Smith MBE, Olympic gymnast and winner of Strictly Come Dancing, we got to work.
There was a steady stream of media, along with passers-by who all wanted to know about our new product; the snack that is better for you and better for everyone!
It wasn’t long before we took to the grass to start our fitness class with specialists Tabata in the Park. Tabata is a Japanese exercise, endorsed by Louis, so we felt it was the perfect accompaniment to our launch event. We have to say a HUGE well done to our Japanese colleagues who didn’t even flinch and got stuck straight in.
After an intense 45 minute session there was only one thing for it – it was time to sample our four delicious flavours; Lightly Salted, Soy and Balsamic Vinegar, Sweet Chilli and Lemon and Smoked Salt and Szechuan Pepper.
It was a quick recovery as people jumped at the chance to taste the new range.
Thankfully – and as we secretly expected – it was positive feedback all round. People kept coming along throughout the morning to ask for samples and to request details of listings. We couldn’t have been happier.
