2. What are Snapea Rice Sticks?

Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks is made with mainly green pea and rice. We add seasonings to make a number of different flavours that combine true British classics with inspiration from Japan.

3. Are there plans for more flavours of Yushoi?

Yes there will be more flavours of Yushoi to add and as an innovative manufacturer we will also be working on new healthier bagged snacks too. At Calbee we are determined to revolutionise the bagged snacks market place and make it easier for everybody to eat snacks that are better for them and healthier than a packet of fried potato crisps.

4. Where are your products made?

Yushoi is produced at our new state of the art factory in Deeside, Flintshire in North Wales using mainly British Ingredients. For example our peas we will be using are grown in Lincolnshire. We do have to import rice (for obvious reasons!) but our Calbee philosophy is to harvest the power of nature with localised production, using local ingredients and local people to make great tasting healthier snacking products.

5. Can I recycle Yushoi packaging?

Yes you can – our cartons/cases that we ship products into retail stores are recyclable. The Rice sticks packets are made from different forms of plastic packaging that can be recycled but it is worth checking your local authority as to whether your local recycling centre can accommodate Yushoi. Our 105g pouches are PP 7 as are our 21g pouches. Our 6x21g multi-packs and the 21g packs inside are PP5.

6. What are the healthy benefits of eating Yushoi?

In each 21g bag or 21g serving, there are large number of healthy benefits that you can gain from eating Yushoi – a source of protein (from the peas), high in fibre, less than 99 calories per bag or per serving. The salt levels in Yushoi are lower than the recommended levels form the Food Standards’s Associations Salt Reduction targets of 2017.
